Where to find it
In the template selector, open the 404 page and select Not found. This is the missing-page template, not a normal homepage section.
Set it up
- Set Error code, Eyebrow, Heading and Text so the page explains what happened.
- Configure primary and secondary button labels and useful destinations, such as the homepage or a collection.
- Choose optional Image, placement, ratio and fit, then adjust Content width and alignment.
- Choose the 404 number style, desktop/mobile size and spacing. Enable animation only if it suits the design.
- Open an intentionally nonexistent storefront path and verify the recovery links and motion-preference behavior.

Content and media
- An image is optional. Use a simple composition that leaves the recovery text and buttons as the primary task.
Check the mobile layout
- Review number size and spacing separately on mobile so the digits do not crowd the heading. The animation has a reduced-motion alternative.
Common questions and fixes
- Your missing page still looks different: check the active theme and its 404 template.
- The error digits appear cramped: reduce number size or increase number spacing at the affected screen size.
