Collections overview page

Where to find it

Open the Collections list template for the /collections overview and select Collections page. This is not the products-within-one-collection template.

Set it up

Create collections and their images in Shopify before reviewing the overview.
Choose Grid item width and Grid spacing for the desktop arrangement.
Set Columns on mobile and Collections per page to keep long category catalogs manageable.
Preview the collection links and pagination, including later pages when the store has enough collections.

Content and media

Collection cards use their collection media. Select a clear collection image rather than relying on an unrelated product crop.
Use Collection list on a custom page when you want a selected subset instead of this native overview.

Check the mobile layout

Choose one or two columns and an appropriate page size. Check card titles and the spacing before the Footer.

Common questions and fixes

You cannot manually select categories here: this overview uses the store's collection list; use Collection list for curation.
There is no pagination control: it appears only when the number of collections exceeds the chosen page size.
