Where to find it
In Online Store → Themes, open the unpublished theme editor, choose a compatible template, then Add section → Personalized products. Availability follows the selected template and section group.
This section is not available in the Header group.
Set it up
- Choose Recommendation type: Recommended products or Recently viewed.
- For Recommended products, preview a real product page so the section has a product to base its request on.
- For Recently viewed, enable Track recently viewed products in Theme settings → Product, then visit several real product pages in the same browser before judging the result.
- Set Maximum products, heading, Grid or Carousel, columns and gaps.
- Review actual storefront output as well as editor placeholders; an empty result is different from an unconfigured product list.

Content and media
- Cards use actual product media. Recommendations are not supplied demo products.
- Recently viewed uses browser-local history and is not a customer account's cross-device purchase history.
Check the mobile layout
- Check the chosen mobile columns and carousel reachability. An initial visit may correctly have no recently viewed items.
Common questions and fixes
- Recommended products are absent: preview an actual product and check whether Shopify returns related recommendations.
- Recently viewed is empty: browse products in the same browser and ensure browser storage is available.
- You want a guaranteed selection: use Product showcase with Manual products instead.
