Where to find it
In Online Store → Themes, open the unpublished theme editor, choose a compatible template, then Add section → Instagram. Availability follows the selected template and section group.
This section is not available in the Header group, the Overlay group.
Set it up
- Configure the Instagram profile URL in Theme settings → Social media. Set the section's profile image, account handle and heading.
- Add Instagram post blocks. Choose Image or Shopify-hosted video and provide the matching media, caption and original Instagram post link.
- Choose Grid, Featured first or Carousel and set columns, gaps and media ratio.
- Decide how captions and overlays appear, and configure video playback separately from carousel autoplay.
- Check original-post links and confirm you have permission to display the selected content.

Content and media
- Use your own or permitted image/video files, with consistent framing and image alt text.
- This is a curated section. Entering a handle or Instagram post link does not automatically fetch or synchronize a feed.
Check the mobile layout
- Choose Grid or Horizontal scroll. Use Always for overlays when essential information would otherwise rely on hover, and test video taps separately from post links.
Common questions and fixes
- New social posts do not appear: add their media manually; this module is not a live feed integration.
- The Follow destination is missing: check the global Instagram profile URL.
